Description
The mandate given to Jim Taylor and the Sabre Design Team was to design and build a sailing yacht with exceptional performance. CADENCE meets and exceeds this mandate. Outfitted with transpacific cruising in mind no safety feature was overlooked. All electronics have remote feeds to the helm with repeater in cockpit. Lewmar hardware is used throughout. CADENCE was extensively updated for offshore cruising in 2010/2011 with new rigging components sails interior lighting new watermaker hatches dripless packing gland ground tackle and all new plumbing lines throughout. She has many spares and extras; large water maker capacity custom wind vane steering system heavy duty autopilot custom-built stainless steel radar mast wind generator custom Technautics refrigeration/freezer system and 2500 inverter. Accommodations/Walkthrough
Theinterior is classic Maine craftsmanship ample storage and functional comfort. The forward stateroom had a center island 6'10" double berth with settee sink and large hanging locker. The main cabin maximizes the 13'4" beam with a portside settee/dinette that seats six comfortably. Aft to starboard is the forward facing navigator's station. The galley to port is U-shaped ideal for any weather.CADENCE'S design also maximizes counter and storage space with easy reach to the double stainless steel sink the three-burner propane stove with oven and refrigerator. The inboard counter also hides the engine compartment.To starboard and aft of the Nav station is the head and shower. The enclosed head is molded fiberglass with Corian countertops and a separate stall shower. The aft stateroom is private and spacious with ample storage.
